What animal fits a 11 year old?
11 Year Old My son wants a pet, but he does not want the things listed: "Hermit Crab-Pet Rock (My idea lol)-ZuZu Pet (Silly me try again)-something bigger than a bread box (dog, cat, rabbit, bird, etc.) I know it is difficult to answer (Because is picky), but he said Rodents Have Said Reptiles.He prefer or Leopard Gecko and I said no, but you really want one for what I think and if you believe a leopard gecko is a good idea please tell me what to do (as Is It Low Maintenace, Sun to run fast, and not easily frightened) Thanks for your time and help!
First, bear in mind, no matter how convincing your child, you end up doing most of the work. Geckos are expensive but good pets. Friendly, not too fast, do not bite. The disadvantage is that you will need to maintain and feed live crickets. If not, I suggest a guinea pig. Cute, cuddly, no night (do not keep you awake), you can stay indoors or out. Tame, just bite back. They are not the easiest to clean, but pets are really rewarding and have a duration of 5-7 years.
