Idea on how to help a pet hoarder?
I have a close friend who has more than 27 cats and kittens. I have gave him stamps ASPA to set their females. (5 of them only) I talked to him for years about their problem cats. I even made it to 8 cats and of course that was never to resolve any problems. Now there are over 20 again. They are sick. All but three have eye infections and runny noses. Who do I call? Or I have to call? Maybe he trusts me enough to take them to the animal shelter myself. He is a wanted man. I do not want to hurt him. But I that healthy cats as well.
I would call animal control. You can probably do it anonymously. If it is obviously sick animals are not handled properly. This person can not be trusted in his being responsible. You need to do something. If you make the call, the officers will go to the house and check on the cats. They will decide whether they stay or if any of them should be removed.
